Immunity Boosters with Katrine Van Wyk
Meet Katrine Van Wyk, the Oslo-based wellness consultant, health coach, and author of Super Powders. We enlisted Katrine to school us on adaptogens and share how to create winter remedies with some of our tinctures. Here, she reveals some recipes to keep your immune system intact and stay warm in the process.
GOLDEN LATTE
“This is fall comfort comes in a healing cup. The Golden Latte is packed with warming spices to support digestion, immune-supporting reishi, astragalus, and some healthy fats make this the perfect nightcap or afternoon snack.”
1 tbsp almond butter or sunflower butter
1 scoop collagen peptides
1 tsp raw manuka honey
1 tsp coconut oil
½ tsp astragalus powder or 10 drops astragalus extract
½ tsp reishi powder or 10 drops reishi extract
⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
⅛ tsp ground cardamom
⅛ tsp ground cloves
⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground turmeric
1 pinch pink Himalayan sea salt
⅛ tsp black pepper
½ c warm water
½ c warmed unsweetened almond milk
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or bullet and blend at high speed until creamy and frothy. Pour into a mug and drink.

½ c sparkling mineral water
½ c cooled, brewed earl grey tea
2-3 drops pure stevia
1 lemon slice
Ice cubes
Add all the ingredients to a glass with a few ice cubes. Top with lemon slice and a sprinkle of a few pretty, blue loose earl grey tea leaves.

1 tsp Matcha
1 scoop marine collagen
½ tsp Mucuna Pruriens* powder (aka the dopamine bean!)
1 tsp manuka honey or any raw honey you like
1 c warm almond milk
Put the matcha, collagen and mucuna pruriens in a small bowl. Add 2-3 tbsp warm (not boiling hot) water to the bowl and use a matcha whisk (or any whisk) to mix. Add the mix to a mug and top with warm almond milk. Use a milk frother if you have one. *an adaptogen that’s mood-enhancing, a fortifier, and a motivator!
