French Pharmacy has always been a source of inspiration for us, from old-world apothecaries to the modern, plant-based skin therapies the French do so well. So, naturally, when Julie set out to create Fleur Vibrante Serum Cerate, she partnered with France’s leading laboratory, known for its visionary leader and all-female team of chemists. The goal? To reimagine our best-selling Fleur Vibrante Balm into a super-saturated, easy to apply, precise dose of beta-carotenes to help improve skin tone and resilience, restore elasticity, and fight free radicals.

And it was a labor of love. The final formulation took 52 rounds to nail. Our French lab partner invented a patented technology that extracts the entire plant potential—AKA everything: the plant’s color, constituents, and aroma—without the use of heat or harsh chemicals. The calendula we extracted smelled exactly like fresh blossoms in a field.

Due to this unique technology we’re able to get into a process called titration, which allows us to determine the exact concentration of an active and deliver consistent strength in every batch. Often in French pharmacy, you’ll see the percentage of an ingredient on a product—but you rarely see it in the natural beauty space because it’s impossible to achieve using traditional extraction methods like macerations or CO2s. We are able to precisely measure and quantify the level of carotenoids in Fleur Vibrante Serum Cerate—and, like a pharmaceutical, offer a consistent, precise dose in every application.

Did we mention that our patented extraction technology is hella strong? So strong, in fact, that when Julie and the team looked at the raw data of calendula after titration, it showed extremely high levels of carotenes, as well as other co-factors associated with anti-aging that they didn’t even know existed in the plant.
