The Merger of Light
Many of you take great comfort in whole-body regimens, bathing rituals, and self-massage with our botanical solutions and body balms. Most notably, Comfrey, our beloved Kashmir Balm. Neroli, the heart of these remedies has an affinity for improving our emotional disposition and cutting through the occasional bouts of pessimism, or what we like to call "fog." It is one of the great aromatics for regulating the autonomic nervous system.
NEXT-LEVEL NEROLI
Neroli is one of the gold remedies—gold is representative of the sun, the point of origin of light and life; it harmonizes and balances polarities. For example, I formulated Vis Clair Suprême based solely on gold themes because I love the concept of optimism and insight through bright, happy eyes.
Anthroposophical science and homeopathy hold that gold is specific for fear of death and grieving. Neroli is often indicated to help promote emotional stability and feeling/thinking conflict.
An excerpt from Berkowsky's Materia Medica/Spiritualis states the following neroli symptoms: deep emotional pain, depression related to denial, disconnection between mind and body; ungrounded, insecurity, despair, hysteria, shock, inability to take initiative, and depletion and exhaustion dwells on and nourishes grief; grief always stays fresh in the mind; silent grief; ailments from sadness; ailments from bad news; ailments from grief and romantic disappointments; apathetic; indifference; great grief and sorrow; insomnia or excessive sleepiness after grief.
Topically, Neroli is suited for most skin types, but mainly dry, devitalized, sensitive, and fragile skin. It enhances healthy skin cell metabolism and is one of the most significant oils for addressing a loss of elasticity. Neroli is also a capillary stimulant with an affinity for the lower limbs, which, when combined with Cypress (Firmante), ameliorates stagnation, tired legs, and edema.
