Where do I even start? It's been a trying time for all of us, and the total uncertainty of what lies ahead doesn't do much to calm our anxieties.
We want to take a moment to check-in and let you know what is going on in the world of In Fiore.
First, we want to thank you for all your messages of support—we appreciate you and are blessed to have such a loyal clientele.
Since midnight Monday, March 17, San Francisco, our home base, went into a shelter in place order, which means all non-essential businesses closed, and everyone was ordered to stay home. We had to mobilize by moving our workstations home, secure the perfumery, and assess where we stand with the supply chain—quickly.
We've received many questions and concerns regarding shipping and product availability, so as of today here is where things stand:
Other than employees cycling through to check in on the space, or accept the occasional shipment, the perfumery is closed until further notice. There is no "no contact" pick up available at Post Street at this time. However, if you live in San Francisco, we have a stockist who is offering this service. If you are interested, please email us directly for details.
Our shipping logistics facility based in New Jersey also ships medical supplies; therefore, they classify as an essential business. Our webshop is live, and orders will continue to ship as usual Monday through Friday, including International orders. However, circumstances seem to be escalating rapidly and shifting daily, so we do not know how long this will hold. Keep in mind, to comply with safety measures, the facility is running on a skeletal crew, so there may be slight delays in shipping. At this time, as far as we know, our brick and mortar wholesale accounts worldwide are closed. We anticipate these closures to remain for a minimum of eight more weeks, potentially longer.
Our lab manufactures botanical medicine for the top practitioners in the country; therefore, they, too, classify as an essential business. We have been able to secure most of our supply chain for future productions; however, the lab is at maximum capacity due to the extremely high demand for botanical remedies, as well as working with a minimal crew. So there will be production delays. We are in touch daily and will do our best to keep all our products in stock. By the end of this week, we will be restocking Calme Complexe and Fleur Vibrante Balm. We will continue to keep you posted.
The one glitch in our supply chain is some of our bottles are not available at the moment. This is due to the current mandates in the state of Pennsylvania, where the bottles are decorated. We are in pretty good shape at the moment; however, as we expect this to continue for some time, we will most likely get to a place where we will have to prioritize production of some products over others. We will do our best to manage this as effectively as possible and keep our heroes available.
