Julie's Medicine Cabinet
This month in Julie's Medicine Cabinet, our founder details what she's currently coveting. Julie's picks for February are inspired by Julie's last trip to Paris, where she splurged on some of her favorite brands. From her go-to tennis shoes to her favorite fashionable baseball hat, Julie's discoveries are the products (and experiences) you need and never knew you needed.
Charlotte Chesnais
Julie's first favorite item of February is a piece of jewelry from Charlotte Chesnais, who calls herself a curved designer because her pieces juxtapose sensuality and rhythmic expression. "Charlotte has an assortment of pieces that are very sculptural. I discovered them two years ago while in Paris and bought a couple of different rings. And this year, when I returned, I purchased one of her ear cuffs. It's called the Petite Mirage Cuff, which is two-toned and looks like it's floating, slightly grazing the ear. I'm obsessed. All of her pieces are extraordinary works of art."
Veja
This Paris-based sneaker brand is a go-to of Julie's. She loves that they mix socially conscious projects with ecological materials and economic justice. While in town, Julie purchased the V 10 Camel Desert sneaker with a suede-like texture. "I love comfortable chic sneakers, and as I was walked by the Veja boutique in the Marias, these caught my eye. The design, color, and texture work well with my wardrobe. Parisian women are wearing slouchy jeans and sneakers. It's the uniform. They have their cross-body designer bag with a beautiful sweater or jacket and I love the unfussy, relaxed vibe.”
Frame x Ritz Hat
Branded baseball hats are becoming a luxury item, and The Ritz partnered with Frame Denim to create a sporty yet chic accessory featuring the iconic logo embroidered at the front. "I have the one in Navy with the white lettering- it was gifted to me by my agent, and it's another chic accessory item in Paris right now. I'm typically not into flashing logos, but I love this hat and wear it as a form of sun protection while out running errands. And while they are completely sold out at the Ritz Paris, they are available online in the US."
