Olfactory Nostalgia with Christina Grasso
MYRRH
At In Fiore, we believe the skin is a sense organ and scent initiates healing. Olfactory Nostalgia is a look at medicinal triggers, scented memories, and the feelings that ensue when taking in a distinct ingredient.

“Fragrance helps me stay grounded and mindful and can make me feel more put together.”

Name:
Christina Grasso
What & Where:
New York City-based digital creator and co-founder of The Chain.
Ingredient:
Myrrh.
Olfactory Nostalgia:
I grew up Catholic, attended Catholic school until I was 22, and lived in Rome for a bit, where I frequented Saint Peter's for mass. So the fragrance of incense and an old church feels familiar and grounding for me. The idea that I can be anywhere in the world, walk into a Catholic church, and feel at home because of its heady scent makes me feel warm and deeply connected.
Perfumery as Medicine:
Fragrance helps me stay grounded and mindful and can make me feel more put together. It's a small ritual in which I find joy every day—whether it's in the form of a candle, fresh flowers, strong coffee, or my favorite perfume.
