The smell of roses takes me back to my grandmother’s house in Copenhagen, where I spent many summers playing outside. She had the most beautiful garden filled with roses. My grandmother’s garden was also the inspiration behind my first fragrance, Savage Rose. The scent of rose is soft and feminine, yet powerful. It reminds me of my childhood and the strong, inspiring women in my life.
Perfumery as Medicine:
A nostalgic scent can instantly take me back to a sentimental moment or experience I've had. If I'm feeling stressed or having an off day, it's a subconscious reminder of who I am, where I've been, and how these positive memories have made me the person I am today. That's the best medicine.
