Olfactory Nostalgia with Sophia Roe
BERGAMOT
At In Fiore, we believe the skin is a sense organ and scent initiates healing. Olfactory Nostalgia is a look at medicinal triggers, scented memories, and the feelings that ensue when taking in a distinct ingredient.
Meet Sophia Roe, the NYC-based chef and wellness enthusiast, who speaks eloquently of food and feelings. That said, her knack for creating colorful, healthy, and delectable dishes is second to none.
“It means tapping into one of our most precious senses as a way to heal, recharge, reset, and recalibrate.”

Sophia Roe
What & Where:
Chef and wellness enthusiast, based in New York City
Ingredient:
Bergamot
Olfactory Nostalgia:
My mother was a huge earl grey drinker, and while we were not close and our relationship was mostly very traumatic, I do love the vision of her drinking tea throughout the day. The smell reminds me that even though her life was mostly erratic and filled with chaos that she still had a tiny little ritual in the form of a hot cup of tea.
Perfumery as Medicine:
It means tapping into one of our most precious senses as a way to heal, recharge, reset, and recalibrate.
