Going Braless
IT'S TIME TO SET THE GIRLS FREE

The FIRST thing I do
when I get home is
UNLEASH the TWINS.
Women have long faced conflicting information when it comes to the state of their breasts. Big vs. small. High vs. low. Free vs. contained. It’s as though the health, happiness, and appearance of their tig ol’ bitties is the business of the world at large. While we’re advocates of a swath or two of delicate French lace and totally understand not wanting to conduct a board meeting with nipples blazing, we’ve recently uncovered some benefits of going braless, and we thought we’d share.
AT ATTENTION
This French study nixes the debate that bras actually help breasts hold their shape. In fact, some dude with a slide rule and caliper took it upon himself to measure changes in breast features in hundreds of women over a 15-year span and found that “women who never wore bras had nipples on average seven millimeters higher in relation to their shoulders each year than regular bra users.” Then he admitted the results were “preliminary” and expressed a need to recruit a much larger sample of women for truly conclusive results. Because, obviously.
GO WITH THE FLOW
The body’s lymphatic system is concentrated in the chest and armpit area, and proper lymph flow is integral to breast (and general) health. While lymph flow can be stimulated by daily activities like exercising, bras have been shown to restrict the flow of both blood and lymph in the chest. We know that healthy circulation can significantly improve skin tone, which could, in turn, enhance the shape of the breasts. A true win for the twins.
SWING STATE
As if you needed another reason to whip that bra off the second you get home (or forgo it altogether), it turns out that allowing your breasts to hang loose actually forces your pectoral muscles to work harder to provide natural support, giving your torso more natural lifted shape. Delivery men be damned—it’s ladies’ night.
